CHAMBERS
Comfortaire and Select Comfort has designed their air
chambers to run head to toe and side to side. While both companies
claim their wall arrangement to be a better design, it really
doesn't matter which direction they run. All of the chambers are
interconnected and the air pressure equalizes throughout the entire
mattress when pressure is applied. Both styles distribute pressure
equally across the entire body because it is the air that supports
the weight, not the chamber walls.
AIR HOSES
Comfortaire permanently attaches the air hose to the
chamber and then it is clamped to the pump to prevent leaks. We
don't use O-Rings or fancy connectors that might weaken and leak
over time.
